My wife is in the market this year for a new vehicle and she would love the Orange on the Colorado. But we already have my 2015 Silverado High Country so we don't really need a second truck. Though about the Blazer but not at that price. It will be a lease and her last car before retirement. Then we get rid of both and go 3/4 ton crew cab for the tow vehicle for some extensive travel with a trailer.

I'm running a separate set of summer versus winter wheels/tires (snow and ice tires in the rear in the winter)

I was able to pick up a virtually brand new take-off set of the 18" premium wheels for a ridiculously low price from a local dealer looking to get rid of them. It completely changes the look of the truck in my opinion. My winter wheels are the same you are running now. They don't look bad...just not the overall look I was going for in the end with mine.

But even if you couldn't do that, the 17" Z71 style and even the 18" ones are going for 4 or 5 hundred shipped (for a set) on Ebay.

Bed tie downs are a must! I keep my straps wrapped up on mine all the time, ready to go.

GF bought a 19 Z71 Colorado. Great truck! She wants a bed cover of some sort and was looking at running boards as well. Surprised you didn't go with black boards/steps though Sir Nuke.

I really want one of these but can't justify the cost.

I thought about it, but seeing as how I had chrome accents on the truck, I when with these, and they are Polished 304 SS tube, so no worry about rust

That is one of the mods on the list.....a bed cover, and an seriously looking at the Roll N Lock. yep they are a bit pricy, but a more secure cover you won't find. and for our trucks, they only come in the manual models, at least not yet. those are EXTRA pricy!

I'm running a low profile TruXedo "Lo Pro" which I really like, but is not secure. They make a version called the Sentry that is similar, and offers better security, and rolls up. It sticks up a bit when rolled, but not enough to cause big issues from what it appears. https://truxedo.com/sentry
