Looked for a replacement for my 2015 double cab Silverado. Good truck but the cab config was a bit of a joke when it came to the rear seating.
Found the Chevy dealers are stuck with a lot of 2018 Silverado Crew Cab inventory. Mostly white trucks, but there are some colors to be had.
I snagged a 2018 1WT Crew Cab 4x4 with the V8 and a lot of nice options for under $30k.
Deals are out there.

Yeah...and you're just in a mid-size extended cab. Imagine how a full size crew cab feels. I had full size back in the day (which isn't a lot bigger than mid-size now) and then got used to small trucks and cars. My crew cab Colorado now feels just about right. Before I bought it I test drove an ecodiesel crew cab RAM truck. I enjoyed it, but it felt friggin huge. I decided then that I just didn't really want a full-size. That could change, but right now and the fore-seeable future, the Colorado works for me.

I will say after driving my dad's Canyon, I can see why so many reviews say it's like driving a car or crossover. Doesn't really have the truck-ish feel my F-150 does.

very true....my wife drives a '18 Grand Cherokee, so my truck is close to that size, I just don't drive it that much......but the seating position of the Colorado is a bit higher. the wife and I were "discussing" that last night, and had to take her to the garage, and ended up showing her with a tape measure. LOL

the one thing that I really don't like, and its so common these days for both trucks and cars, and that is not having a REAL spare, BUT some of the packages on trucks have a full sized spare, even on the Colorado....SO I solved that problem, found someone selling their brand new never been used take-off wheels (they were selling them one and a time, just the wheel for $95) and went and bought a OEM tire so that everything matches. stuffed it in, works like a champ!

Mine has the full size spare...sticks out quite far actually, which I don't care for, but not much I can do about that.

well its not a DONUT.....but its not the same size, what the h*ll was Chevy thinking, mine has 17's....the spare is a 16" steely, I wouldn't mind at all had they put a 17" steely w/ the same tire as the regular ones, but the spare is some other model tire.....SO I found and bought a take off wheel that is brand new....and bought a new tire like the ones that came on the truck. I'll be getting mounted and balanced and swap out the factory spare for this one today.

AND if you or anyone else would want to do this, as putting one of the regular wheels on as a spare instead of the steely, you need to remember to do something a little different when storing it.

FIRST....ONE model comes with an identical wheel/tire as the others...that is the ZR2 Models. so what needs to be done when storing them you will need to do to keep from damaging the bore of the wheel. the wheels needs to be stored "VALVE STEM POINTED UP".

Although the stock spare is the same diameter as the standard tire...its still only rated as "TEMPORARY USE ONLY"

well yesterday I got a call the my tire had arrived (I had to order one, Discount tire didn't have one in stock at my store) so I took the new STOCK aluminum wheel like the others and had the tire installed and balanced. took it home and stored in under the truck.
