Red face

Thanks everyone! I had to run around and drive a bit after picking it up! She drives like a champ and I never really got on it very hard! I put about 45 miles on her.

Notes:

Luckily, my paint appears to be bright and clear with no hazing at all.

The LPO wheels have not arrived, nor have the black bow ties. I kept on asking when they'd show, but they'd shrug and say, "Well, they usually show up around the time the car gets here." I would respond, "Wait a minute, Chevy doesn't even know where my car is (supposedly) how is the parts dept going to know when to ship the parts? No response...crickets.

The menus are so dimensionally deep! I did get my phone synced and Apple Talk set up, though. I might have to crack the manual on this one!

Funny thing happened; I was tracking the car as it left the distribution center near San Antonio heading south on IH37. Well, as much as I could at work, and I was quite busy. I got caught up and checked it again, and it was at the dealership! My boss is so cool. He knows I've been anticipating this car so long that when I asked to use leave and go to the dealership, he said No Prob, and chuckled. I get to the dealer in my loaner Piece of Malibu, and drive around their lot. The delivery truck was just leaving as I arrived. They actually have three 16 Camaros in Hyper Blue out there that had just arrived, but none were mine! I parked the Piece of Malibu and got on my OnStar app as I walked to places in the lot I couldn't drive. I went to the key fob function and activated the horn. I hear honking way off in the distance, but the dealership is right by a freeway, so there's a lot of ambient noise. I turn the horn off and walk in the general direction of where I thought I heard the horn. I stopped, and tried the horn again. Beep, beep, beep, again way off in the distance, but I'm close enough to the service garage to hear someone yelling, so I walk that way. Well, up on a lift already is Blue Meanie with the make ready fellow furiously mashing the key fob trying to stop the horn. The other guys in the service garage are kinda chuckling at him. As I walk up, he makes eye contact with me, and seemed to immediately know that it was my car. We had a small chuckle and he finished up with the make ready installs of the rear suspension covers and the front air deflectors for the front tires. He had not put on the front LP holder as per my instructions, but had already plastered the dealer sticker on the back. I let out a yell about that, and he said no problem, and he peeled it off easily. Kinda silly though, because the car was filthy with a thick layer of dust/dirt on it and he puts their logo right on the dirt!

Rear tires! It looks like someone, I think not at the dealership, did some spinning of my rear tires. What do y'all think from looking at the tire photo?

One of the first things I did was place the exhaust in track mode for all functions. I'm gonna pull the fuse! Vroooom!

I let them know that when my LPO wheels arrive, I'm going to take them to my installer. My friend has the best tire installing machine in town and gets a lot of high end work.

The top photo is me making "First Contact" with Blue Meanie!

Have your dealer get you some knee pads for free! Those plastic ones suck.
Yeah, I want to get the blue ones! There's been no mention of any compensation... I doubt there will be.

Also, I never knew that there were "Camaro" lettering in the front turn signal lenses!

Congrats Tara. I have to ask, what color are those stripes? Black carbon flash or cyber grey?

Thanks, Bybcous! I don't know the nomenclature for what I saw him install, but the brake venting kit is still in the trunk. These were flexible air deflectors that were placed on the front right and left corners right in front of the front tires.

Congrats, Tara. Now we know a buikd can be designated hot: moving from 4800 to 5000, something I doubted. I have seen 3800 to 4200 on the way to the dealer with only hours from the 3800 event to the 4200 but not seen that for 4800 event codes before yours.

Congrats Tara, Look at all the well wishers you've accumulated! Take care of that beast and happy driving. Now maybe this thread will finally get closed.
