My advice for something to do immediately is to replace the small factory pieces of PPF on the rocker panel in front of the rear wheels with larger pieces. The sooner the better. I had the local XPEL installer do mine for $120. He went up to the body panel seam. After a year mine have tons of marks and scrapes which otherwise would have been paint chips.

Man, I lost my passenger side splash guard at the dragstrip and didn't notice (it was dark already) until I got home... and sure enough, the pass side rocker panel was already sandblasted even above the OEM film #&@#*

OP, you don't want to drive without splash guards, period. And don't make my mistake of thinking the small patch of factory PPF will be enough. It's okay-ish with wider splash guards in place, but better be safe than sorry.
