The after software version now says: 84131949

They also updated the maps for me as well which was a nice surprise. That went from version 23346621 to version 84201676.
The performance of it seems a little improved. I still think my Silverado is quicker but as was pointed out here before it has better hardware than the Camaro does.
Overall I'm happy they did it.
Interested if you notice anything else different. I suspect my 2016 SS is the a very old version. Is there place to see changes between versions(I suspect wishful thinking)?

Surprised they updated the map data, usually a fee for that, very nice.

And that is a common trend lately with flashing MyLink software, connectivity errors that is. Glad they got it fixed. I don't imagine any major changes other than the most up to date software. It is always a hassle to get them to update these things, which is part of why the went to OTA Updates for Infotainment 3 system.

There aren't any changelogs that I am aware of unfortunately. At least not user side. And in the Tech2Tool (or whatever the current GM Flash tool is) it doesn't list changes. The old Workbench software use to list some changes if they were major. Maybe someone with an active workbench account can verify.

I'd like to know that as well. Something like "this version includes a fix for ..." or something like that.
I questioned why the place I bought it from didn't do that (update) already. I bought mine certified pre owned and the service manager said that unless the system isn't working they wont mess with it ever.

Correct unless there is an issue they don’t update modules on the car. There are tons of modules on the car that could get updates. Would take a few days to update them all. For those of us with OCD, tech backgrounds, or super into cars it’s a curse wanting the latest software. I’ve learned to just deal with it. At least until my next vehicle. The 19+ are doing OTA MyLink updates. So it’s only a matter of time before they end up like Tesla and can send other updates OTA.

The only real issue I have is the unit goes kind of crazy and unresponsive to touch. It's only happened twice in 3 years and I've learned to disconnect the battery for a few minutes and it works again. I can't reproduce it so I haven't bothered taking to dealer... If that issue is fixed, I'd like to get the update.
