Can the car be programmed to more than 2 keys?

Can the car be programmed to more than 2 keys?
And if so, I wonder if it has to be a model specific key ( i.e. convertible key having top switch or even your Tahoe key).

Ok, 'key' was the wrong term. When I searched FOB, I found the answer that extra FOBs can be used.
Answer 2, I had no luck programming to another vehicle FOB but they were newer year models also.

The dream of walking around with only one key fob in my pocket is gone (for now).

Using your phone as a key is an option for some vehicles (Tesla).

The idea of having one key that works for multiple vehicles would be weird when trying to lock/unlock and both are in range. The key is "dumb" and not able to delineate between vehicles itself. The "brains" are in the vehicle. As a result, a switch on a key would only work if you basically had two keys in one case and you were switching between them.

Not the way I'm talking about. I seldom hit the door lock/unlock on the remote just touching the sensor on the door to lock. The remote STAYS in my pocket. That way, hit the door sensor to unlock, get in and hit start button to crank the engine. Then when away from home, I could use the remote if I needed to but I rarely do.

I feel like if I had 2 - 2017 Camaro's, it would work but the 2023 Tahoe and 2021 Silverado don't work.

A phone app would be good for some people but that's a lot of extra steps in stead of less for me.

With the phone, it treats it like a key, no app activity. You just walk up, get in, and drive.

While you may not want to press buttons, the general public does, so any solution would need to work for all owners.
