I've had my ZL1 convertible for almost 2 weeks now.
On day one, a guy was checking it out and asked "What is this?" As it turns out, he was the smartest one so far. I took it to a friends house and one of his neighbors complimented my Mustang. I took it to work and a coworker (who drives a Prius - enough said) asked me if I bought another Corvette. For reference, the previous convertible I owned was a Trans Am so he was double-wrong. And this weekend one of my neighbors stopped and asked me if this was the new Charger. I guess it doesn't help that the ZL1 doesn't say "Camaro" anywhere on it, but still...

I can understand the average person not recognizing the different company emblems and vehicles, but an auto detailer? That's just sad. You would think that he's detailed enough Chevy bowties and Ford ovals to know the difference.

This car definitely gets the comments, I've heard:
From 10 year old kid walking on the sidewalk as i'm driving by "NICE CAMARO!" The jaws of my two 11 year old nephews dropped when they saw it, and knew what it was. Had a guy get out of his airport van and says: "nice car...i have the 2016 2SS, this must be a 2017 cuz they changed the front end on it..." (obviously he doesn't have a 2016, maybe a 2015 - how do you not know what year your car is???) I've gotten the "Midlife crisis" comment twice (it's ok, I like making people jealous!) Lots of thumbs up from nearby drivers etc. etc. It's a looker for sure!
