Just got a 2SS

Summit White 2024 2SS coupe. I feel like I just made it under the wire, though I had to be more flexible as far as color and choice of transmission due to the rapidly dwindling cars available.

If not for the end of production in a few more weeks, I was planning on going for a new one in about a year or two, but I got what I felt was a good trade-in offer for my 2018 1SS ( which I still liked immensely ) and that it was pull the trigger now, or never. Was originally going to get another 1SS, but none were around and I found a 2SS that, while having a sunroof which I don't really need, and being an auto rather than an M6 still:

A ) Wasn't yet spoken for.

B ) Checked the boxes of two personal "must haves": Silver wheels and the NPP exhaust.

White wasn't a first choice ( or even second choice ) but I still like it. Turns out I really like the 10 speed auto, and really really like all the niceties that come with the 2SS over the 1SS. Definitely digging this car!

1st shots are at the dealer on the day of pickup. 3rd shot is finally in my driveway after a thorough going over with Jax Wax "Hawaiian Shine'.

Nice! Just picked up a 2SS manual Convertible 3 weeks ago. 2SS options are nice to have!

Looks Awesome. As seen in my Avatar, I have a white 2022 2SS (ordered it that way). IMO, these cars look very good in white. Mine is an M6, no moonroof, same silver wheels as yours. I tried ordering a 24 Collector edition car, turns out the only allocation my dealer got was when the collector edition was on constraint. So the allocation went to the dealer ordering a car for the lot. So, for a dealer car he ordered a white 2SS, 10 Speed, Sunroof, NPP, polished wheels, and Mag ride. No buyer as of yet, and he has it tagged for me if I decide I really want a 24. So, I'm gonna look at it when it comes in. Really just don't know if I will do it or not. I am so on the fence about the polished wheels. At times I really like them, at times I like the silver better...

Congrats on the new ride!

As to color choice, you can always wrap it.

Despite all the machismo that comes from, "It ain't a real sports car if it ain't a manual", the A10 is such a great transmission and IMO, the best auto GM has ever produced.

Nice!

In my opinion, white looks very bland on these cars, but you have the opportunity to do a bunch of black accents and make it really stand out. Its the same with Corvettes. Stock white just looks meh, but black wheels, blacked out side markers, tint, and maybe a few black accent pieces and its actually surprisingly good. Just my opinion though.

Anyway, enjoy it! Its a beautiful car.

Thanks all for the congrats-es ( is that a word? )

The new center hood bulge and ridges on the later SSs seem to almost require an accent stripe to complete the touch. I want to look to find just the right one for mine. Kinda' reminds me of what some car makers did back some years ago when they have very obvious blanking plates on the dash of low option cars to "punish" the buyer for buying a stripper. Or blank blobs on the front air dams for non-existent fog lights....

I'm coming to actually like the white but I do notice it really highlights the composite nature of the front fascia. Lots of panels come together in the grill, headlights, and front splitter area. It's a very "busy" area on the 2019 and up cars, but the fit is quite good.

They sure went wild with the creases on the rear bumper area too....

Yeah the front of the 2019+ cars took awhile to grow on me. I like black but I felt it was even more necessary because of how it blends everything together. On a 16-18 I would have gotten something like Hyper Blue. But at least yours will stay clean for more than a day after you wash it lol.
