Transmission Turbine Shaft Recall

Anyone else get this recall. When I took my Camaro to the dealership today for it's annual oil & filter change they told me there was a recall (33110) against my car. The recall bulletin says 8-speed transmission turbine shaft fracture reprogrammed transmission control module per recall 33110.

I didn't get any notification from GM and my Chevrolet Owner Center Account also shows no recalls for my car. I can't find any information on this issue.

Checked my VIN...no recall. Besides, have had 2 recalls this past year. Hoping for no more.

What worries me is that when I enter my VIN in the GM Recall Center Site it says there are no recalls against my VIN so why did my dealer tell me my car was subject to this recall.

So I notice the two folks in this thread that had it done are LT owners. The ones saying they couldn't find the recall are SS owners.

I'm assuming that's the difference that accounts for why the SS owners aren't seeing the recall.

Bulletin 2033110 is a field action which is not technically a recall.

I have an LT and my car does not show up on the GM website when I input the VIN. Build date 4/2016.

It may be that only recalls show up on the GM website, not field service actions. If that is the case, SS owners would have to check with their dealer to see if their car is included in this field action.

My question is when was your work done...9/16?
Or was this bulletin issued on such date?
My car was in for transmission line recall 3 weeks ago.
Dealer would of said something...but then again

if you dont use your paddle shifters, you are probably fine since that's how you trigger the software bug that they are fixing with the programming update.

Pretty sure it only affects the 8L45 transmission (not the auto in the V8).

if you have no broken the turbine, you'll just get a flash update.

I have the 8L45 tranny in a 2016 1LT. Build date 4/4/2016. I called my dealer and they ran the VIN. No recalls and no field service actions on my car.

9/16 was the bulletin date.
i purchased my car on 10/20 and running a Investigate History at the dealer showed that there were two field actions. They were performed prior to me taking the car. I work at the dealer and it is standard practice to ensure all Field Actions and Recalls are performed prior to delivery. Federal law requires Recalls to be done prior to sale. Field Actions do not.

My service writer today called it a recall. It popped up in his computer automatically, said it had to be done. Not sure if his terminology was correct, but those were his words.

FWIW: Invoice from dealer refers to it as a recall.

It showed up on the service guy's computer when I brought in my car for the A8 shudder problem, they will fix both items. He said it (Transmission Turbine Shaft issue) is only covered by the 3-year warranty period, weird!! The A8 shudder problem is covered by the 5-year powertrain warranty. It would be nice if GM would send me a postcard!
