Brake Dust
Will the Brembos on the 2016 SS dust as bad as the pads on my old 2012 SS or my old 2015 Challenger 392? The dust on the Challenger was horrible! I changed the pads on that car to Powerstop Z23 Evolution Sport and the brake dust was almost gone, with what I felt was no loss in brake performance.
I plan on changing these out as soon as i get the car. Powerstop already has the 2016 pads on the website. Opinions on this? http://www.powerstop.com/products/#y...o=CAMARO&ss=SS

Same here, I plan on getting some ceramic low dust pads. Bought some Autozone Duralast Gold pads ($75.00 both front & rear) for my Grand Sport Corvette, and they worked great. I wouldn't track on these but worked fine on street, no squeeking, and plenty of stopping power. Just got to wait until they manufacture for the 2016.

Really surprisingly the pads do NOT produce a crap ton of dust nor squeaking during cold.
If they did, I was going to replace them with either RacingBrake Et500s or StopTechs. So far so good but will see how the stock pads are when there is more than 1062 miles on the car. |

I have had Caliper covers on all 4 of my GEn 5's and it really helped hold back the brake dust

Not a lot of dust, I have had other vehicles non sports car/high performance that produced more dust...ans as Sledgehammer said, keeps wheels waxed real good like I do, keeps them cleaner and easier to clean.

I used Hydro 2 for my motorcycle and it works really good. Super easy to install.

Anyone have any recommendations yet on changing the brake pads to something with less dust?
I read about complaints like this on the Camaro5 site, and Hawk pads came recommended...less dust but with equal or better braking. Yeah...this is for me. But they aren't showing any pads available for the 2016 Camaro SS yet. I'm sick of the brake dust. Spraying the wheels off after every drive is not an option for me.
