The speculation is over. Later tonight in New York City, General Motors Chairman and CEO Mary Barra will confirm the official reveal date for the Next Generation Corvette. She will arrive at Times Square in a camouflaged prototype for the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers’ Footsteps to the Future Gala, where she is being honored. The prototype will be emblazoned with “7.18.19”, the official reveal date for the most anticipated Corvette ever.

This exhilarating news naturally raises a slew of questions for you and your valued customers. From a Dealer perspective beyond today’s announcement, we will start sharing formal details at the end of April, through the July reveal and beyond.

From a consumer perspective, encourage and receive updates straight from the source, https://www.chevrolet.com/upcoming-v...ation-corvette , so they can be the first to know about the Next Gen Corvette.

This Corvette is the sum of each generation before it, but will stand alone as the new standard of performance. Come along for what promises to be a once in a lifetime ride.

Awesome and finally! Chevy keeps on moving ahead. Bet it drives great, but wonder how the transition to the more forward seating position will be. Kinda like a minivan position vs. pickup, but this I'm sure the engineers have this figure out.

Interesting.
I'm not sure how I feel about this. To me, the C7 was the best-looking sports car ever. Should I run out and buy a C7 before they're gone, or give the C8 a chance?

Did you see the base model pricing? It starts at less than a ZL1, this going to effect Camaro sales I believe.

Every performance car on the market seems to hurt the Camaro sales. The C8 will just be another one to add to the list. Its going to be a cool car and at that price for the base they will sell like crazy.

I'd enjoy joining the Corvette family, if I can work until I am 67. I just turned 60 & must either payoff my GT mustang 3 years left, or trade up for a Corvette this year & start over.

There is no way a V8 mid engine Corvette will start less than 60k. I think 75-80k will be base.
