The MOST control information comes from the HMI module I believe. Not the screen. With that said, it would probably have to be programmed to include that data / capability.

Good info nitro. So the hmi needs to be programmed for it then the connection for the most info from hmi to cluster must be made? So the same pin outs etc for most control should be the same?

The wiring definitely needs to be there. I know when I did my upgrades, it was mandatory.

Reviving this beast.....Chris, been waiting on a cluster to show up on ebay...found two but have discontinued part numbers. Do you have a list of part numbers by year? They say they're for a 16' but want to make sure.

Alright time to get this going again. starting from the top.

I'm going to buy an SS cluster for my 18 1LT. Is there anything I need to look for specifically because I saw someone talk about discontinued part numbers. Is it an easy install and if I contact Gen5DIY will they give me the harness to make sure everything is working properly as far as it can with the 7" screen? I use my steering controls a ton.
