2020 Camaro: What Would You Like To See?
For the 2020 model year of the Camaro. What changes would you like to see happen for the Camaro?
For me it would pertain to the SS mostly and I would like to see: -Revised front end with paint matched grill/bumpers and bowtie relocation -Shooting for the stars but I would like to see the new LT2 engine make its way from the C8 Corvette into the Camaro. It may make sense for the Camaro to fill the space the Corvette left behind going midengine. It would be sweet for a power bump to 475hp or so. -Standard safety features like blind-spot assist and radar cruise control for example. Much cheaper cars have this technology, why not make it standard on the Camaro considering the price and visibility concerns. In regards to other models or the SS like me, what changes are you hoping for? |

They need to get rid of the hard plastics on the top of the dash and on the center console -- at least in the higher trim models.
I do agree that the front end needs to be cleaned up. I don't know who they let loose on the Camaro, but I'm pretty sure they'd mess up a circle. |

More sporty and more like F-body.

They asked about potential engine options a few months ago. Supposedly they are working on a hybrid V8 getting 30 mpg. I would buy another if that's the case

Likely just a date change on the cover of the owners manual.
But you can always hope for more. If there is an LT2, C8 will get it first. Adaptive Cruise? Not sure you can have that without a front grille/fascia redo. Radar packaging might be an issue.

I'm not going to be in the car market (unless someone hits mine) for a good 6-10 years. I intend to get at least 10 years out of mine before moving on since i purchased it rather than leased.
I'd love it if they fixed the stupid lag between the paddle shifters and the actual shifting though. If they had dual clutch level reaction time in either a dual clutch or automatic ...that would give me a bit of buyers regret. I know they go with light materials for the interior but the rattles are pretty crazy (and always have been with camaro's going all the way back to 3rd gen). So solving interior rattles would be awesome. Hybrid / all electric option would also be good. Performance oriented ....rather than Prius oriented. |

Fix that front end of course, even on LT models;
TT V6; Maybe a bigger base turbo engine for more torque and 300+ HP. |

Bring back the garage door opener. A power bump in the LT1 would be great. Less plastic inside...

Theres already cost cutting concerns and while I agree most cars should have all those safety features standard (probably will be required too in the next few years) I completely understand why they are standard on the 2SS but not the 1SS.
Theres a lot of people that just want best bang for your buck performance and if you throw too many features on the base model, it will lose its value. Its already struggling to compete with the Mustang. Anyway.... 2019 refresh just came out and I have mine arriving soon so I can't speak on too much from personal experience but I like it as is. GM is losing sales so im not sure how they will react. Either improve or save money, gotta have a trade off.

Id like to see the car get even uglier so I'm not tempted to buy a new one before the next gen comes out.

Bring back "Hugger Orange". Drop the belt line just a little. Love my son's 17 RS, V6, A8, but it is not comfortable at all to try to drive with the window down and your elbow out the window. BTW, I'm about 6' 0".
