Local guy in Houston cars at MTI I think they are going for the record not sure the fuel type.

Unless your doing the cam it still amazes me why people don't do these type of mods yourself. If you have no idea how to pull the blower kaytech has a great video they made to explain for there porting program so people can remove it send it to them then install it back correctly , headers are pretty self explanatory and easy, lower pulley would be the only real headache keeping the flywheel still if you didn't have a tiny electric impact with 1000 ft lbs capability or you can always use the flywheel tool stop. The tool for the hub rental is free at autozone or make your own. If you decided on the upper Joker or Kong takes care of that while porting. I compiled a list to help people and installation steps:

https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=517100

I did the lower I didn't want to do anything to the oem blower since I was swapping it out. That meant no porting or wasting 250 bucks for a griptec everything was focused onward.

Here is a list if some of yall want to try it on your own... I also updated the prices since i did this almost 3 years ago. I know I saved about $3000 for labor and shopping the components remember I just used internet prices today. There's always a spend 1000 get x amount off at Summit or Jegs and ebay will have a 10% of your entire purchase coming up soon. I like to think I'm pretty nifty on finding the best prices and ways to do things.

ATI 918856 Damper $457.00
ATI 916227 or Lingenfelter L220170709, DSX now 9.17 lower 159.00
GATES Greenback k080845HD 28.00
Texas Speed Headers $699.00
LS1 ATI 951499 or GM 12557840 damper bolt summit $6.99 to $9.75
NGK 6510 1 step cooler plugs $8.99 each
Blower Porting 1275 to 1300 Kong or jokerz
103mm TB $649 to $699 (color) I guess you could do the 95mm LT5 and adapter..

flat bed car to tuner or drive with ck light on.. I used a different size pulley and belt so the changes were that drastic while driving to the tuner from it allowed me to have other pulley combos later on vs wasting a tow and get nothing in return. If you do the intake like the rotofab gulp then ya you will tow but thats an item you can install in the parking lot a long with the 103mm.. so the car should still be fairly drivable.

how to remove blower by kaytec

hope this encourages and saves you some dinero. Either way looks like it going to be fun!

That’s some great info.

I think my plan is to skip all the stock blower stuff & just jump to a 2650, Damper/pulley combo for a tad more manifold pressure, RotoFab, LT5 TB & see what it does with a stock exhaust. If it lays down a dependable 650-700whp I’ll be happy. In know the cats can be an issue, but I really don’t want to mess with that aspect of it.

I’d love to be able to run an E blend, but it’s really not a reasonable option.

2650 actually raises the fuel system ceiling a bit because it does not hit as hard as the stock LT4 supercharger down low. So it allows the fuel system to have a fighting chance at keeping up as the boost ramps up into the higher RPM range. So I wouldn't invest any money into the LT4 supercharger. Sell it to somebody wanting to put a supercharger on their SS on the low.

Good plan you could mess with the lower now and only be out a belt and partial tune fee. Pick up close to 100 rwhp for time being w the supporting mods i listed.

That would be awesome! Unfortunately I have a while before I can do anything like that due to wishing to retain the factory warranty & promises made in order to get the wife unit on board.

Congrats! I'm getting ready to do my heads, cam and low side fuel system with flex over the winter. I have most of the parts sitting in the garage I can't wait to get it done. Where in NJ are you? It would be nice to meet up with some other NJ guys with modded cars

Lmao, I made a similar promise to mine. I do have a roto-fab coming Monday but I believe that’ll have to be it for awhile.
