So I guess every build is different in some ways and lots of ppl say this is better or that.
Port injection seems like the best way to increase gobs of fuel. With that said, many have added the amount of fuel needed with just cam and low side. Lots of builds in fact over 850whp doing that. For the 1000whp guys I guess doing larger injectors, meth, and expensive pumps are the way. Of course as stated before doing port injection right off the bat and being less expensive, i suppose. But what about the twin turbo set ups? Didnt Mike make like over 1000whp with cam and the rest staying DI? If Im not mistaken he ran 8.6s in the 1/4 mile. I havent seen anyone else do that in a street car. SO with that being said wouldnt a twin turbo build be the way to go? Of course everyone wants different things which may also be why some have chosen the Maggie over the Eforce and vice versa. Just thinking out loud. |

It's all good I'm just messing w you guys!
I just got the injectors back in and new plugs wow what a difference it makes just normal driving, start up, and idling. feels new again! On a serious note I'm going to have to do some cooling mods. Now that its 100 and with Houston humidity my MAT or IAT3 is getting up there not during pulls or anything just driving after 45 min to an 1 hour. they get to 140s actually pulls they come down a bit. but even if the timing is taken out its still dangerous. When the car was delivered in spring we had 60 degree mornings and 80 highs now we are 80s in mornings and 100s high. I need capacity mostly I only added a larger center exchanger and the Edelbrock reservoir looks similar to all reservoirs. I made the mistake to mount over the headers on the strut brace but not many options when ya got a lot going on( a few catch cans, regulator, port, big gulp) I shot the outside of the reservoir w thermal gun and it was high 200s that cant be good for the liquid in the reservoir. I'm still leaning towards routing the exit of the front exchanger to another exchanger mounted in the cabin in that opening behind the rear seat in the trunk with a puller fan pulling cold cabin air across the fins. Then from there it will go to an ice tank in the spare tire well, through the Stewart EMP pump back to the blower. I figure the front exchanger will cool somewhat, then if the cabin is 70 degrees or less w little humidity that's all ready 30 degrees cooler then out side.. the rear exchanger will cool the maybe down to the low 100s.. that's even before messing with ice. Seems complicated but I guess the draw of the stewart pump and exrta fan might be an issue and its not like I'm gonna run it all the time well the emp pump would. I all ready have 50 ft 3/4 hose 15 feet of 1 inch hose reprogrammed stewart pump Spal 1350 cfm fan Ice tank just need an exchanger to fit the opening in the trunk I guess i could rig the oem exchanger...

Ported blower, pully, headers, the usual stuff. Suspension stuff will be next. Then who knows. Trying to make a well rounded car but knowing me I will end up at one extreme or the other.

MS Tuning, Kong Performance, Edelbrock Performance Livernois Motorsports & Engineering Lingenfelter Performance Engineering
Sorian has the port injection dialed in.. I think he said on e64 it was 969 he added some 1 R to raise content to e75 to tune on ended up with those numbers. I went back in for a retune since I added LT4 injectors and lt4 pump I was having problems with wifes old LT1 injectors. I couldn't see replacing them again with LT1 injectors when the LT4s are the same price.. if you remember last year I had given wifey my lt4 stuff so she could make more power on her boosted ss. Port injection doesn't care if there LT1 or LT4 fuel parts lol. I just replaced everything under the blower tired of pulling it on and off lol.. I cant wait for MS to tune my car. Everytime one of these A10 5.0s roll up next to me screaming at redline the entire time at WOT I get a little jealous. Nice to see he does well with port injection too. Hopefully he can set mine up when the time comes.
