Camaro Interior
I was wondering others opinions about the 6th gens interiors. I’ve seen countless times that it has worse interiors than a Challenger and the new Mustangs. Am I crazy to like the Camaro interior? I test drove a Mustang (I know) and I didn’t enjoy the interior. It’s too busy and it doesn’t have anything Camaro doesn’t have. Is it just me?

I like it a lot, too. The design fits a sports car very well, and while it isn't perfect (storage, center console difficult to use, wireless charger in the back rather than under the dash etc.), it is functional, beautiful and preserves some Camaro heritage as well.
One thing I do like in the Challenger is the performance section in their infotainment, and the digital gauge cluster the Mustang, both only software items that would be very easy to emulate or best.

Hate to say it, but I like the mustang interior best. The challenger is "meh" and in third place. But I didn't buy the Camaro based on the interior. Handling and performance is more important to me and the mustang chassis is still awful.

The only thing I don't like about the Camaro interior is all of those climate control etc buttons in a row. They are small and all look the same, so I find I actually have to look closely to change anything.

It’s Camaro for me, ZL1 seats are plush and hug ya. Would like to see the center dash where head unit at turned toward driver in next Gen. Other 2 aren’t bad, just not as nice. I do like the looks of the stangs recaros more.

I used to travel a lot and have rented Challengers, Mustangs (both the recent and the latest generations) and Camaros (gen5 and gen6) so for what it may be worth-
I like the interior on Challengers to be honest. Comfortable seats, good visibility (relatively speaking) and generally nice, but yes it's rather plain. I too found the Mustang interiors to be overly busy and I just never warmed up to them. Nothing specific stands out (other than the token trunk opening), but it is merely a general impression I have come away with. I didn't like the interiors of the gen5 Camaros I rented or test drove as much as the gen6. I like the sculpting of the dash, the door panels and the center console. I do like the climate control buttons (just my personal preference) and I love the vent bezel adjustments for temperature and fan speed. My biggest single gripe with it is a persistent marbles-on-plastic-type rattle in the driver's door that I haven't yet been able to track down yet. Really? How long has GM been designing interiors? But all in all, I like the interior although I too bought my car for its general features, exterior, performance and not for the interior. I may yet lose the rear seat though. It is a seat for passengers in theory only. Camaro for me too. Challenger in the middle, Mustang last.

LOL.. good point..
However, I will say that most of the car mags pick Camaro as far as the best interior materials and seats. It's the blindspots that dings the Camaro.

I’ve been seeing Mustang everywhere which is why I posted this! I was not that impressed with it. I’ve never sat in a challenger but just from photos I prefer their design over Mustang.

mustang interior is much improved starting in 2018+ but the wheel is still so ugly.
challenger interior LOL, yikes. chevy didn't do it perfect w/ the camaro but it's way better than the other 2, imo. |

What? The challenger interior ranks higher than both Mustang and Camaro...mind you that’s just US news. Why do you say that? I think it looks nice, it looks comfy like the camaro.

I recently sat in a 2017 Mustang, holy moley! Too freaking much going on. I'm all for digi displays in cockpit, but have it 10-12 yrs? Ask any early dodge folk with all digi cockpit and they'll tell you it was wonderful until the whole display went out, no speed, no gas indicator. I really like the mix of traditional gauges in my 6th Gen with some digital. I tend to keep cars longer. The infotainment in the Mustang had a tiny infotainment screen, 3 or 4 inches!
The Challenger interior is nice, but too gigantic outside. The interior design on my 6th Gen sealed the deal. I love the ashen grey light cloth interior! It brightens up the space, seats, headliner, door panels. Here's a couple of shots. |
