Samsung comes out with gimmicks and then copies anything Apple does that works and calls it something different. The note and galaxy's have some nice features, screens and cameras though. I have an iPhone 6S, never a single issue in over 2 years, as always, it just works. I use it for a phone so the specs don't mean as much to me, Samsungs ecosystem is too split to satisfy me, iTunes will always be my go to.
And you do realize that most of iphones use parts made by Samsung.

In my opinion, it's the software that makes Apple what it is. That and the fact that primarily other developers will write for Apple and the software is usually more bulletproof. I realize that statement will start a war.....Apple and Trump seem to elicit more hate that any other entities I can think of......ridiculous......

It's the Apple ecosystem anchored around iTunes and iCloud that provides the best in class experience FWIW

Oh it's on now. Apple vs Droid threads cause more pain than a supercharged mustang leaving a car show in the rain.

Exactly, you and the other guy nailed it. Specs smecks. Apple is popular because it's easy to use and the software is well built and functional. I've gone back to android (S4 was the last) but always found myself missing what I loved about the iPhone.

Although let's not forget Samsungs specs generally are slower in benchmarks which I find hilarious in phones that they even test that.

I find myself doing the same, but in reverse.. Every time I've tried going to iDevice, I end up hating the locked in box of an OS and end up back at Android.

Also, if you ever find yourself locked out of your iTunes account hard.. Kiss everything you bought goodbye, as Apple will not unlock it when TFA is on and you don't have your RK- key. I've known several people pretty much lose all their purchases over it.

Depending on which benching marking system you're talking about, some have been shown to favor Apple, on purpose due to how they're coded. Like with PC benchmarks, you can cheat your way around things to make it show whatever you'd like it to show and most major Droid/Apple stuff has been snared in that scheme at least once.

The whole iOS vs Android / Apple vs Droid is just going to cycle anyways and be just like Xbox vs PS4. Most all makes/models provide more-than-enough in the ways and areas that the majority use them and we're now at a point to where, save for some minority heavy users / work related issues, it's all nothing more than personal preference.

I was just pleased that Apple this time adopted an open standard Qi and not came up with another proprietary tech which they usually do.

Lol didnt mean to start a war. But samsung is making apples screens. Samsungs specs are always better every year, i phones are easy to use because they have the same screen loadout for years. Everyone i no who has an i phone their battery dies way to fast or their screen is cracked. Not to mention every year their taking away a feature and making u pay extra for it. First its the aux outlet, next its the home button, after that there will be no screen and u brainwashed people will still buy it.. lol i think i just made made the war worse. In all seriousness both phones are good but android is better :p

You can use the wireless charging pad for both iPhone 6 and 7 (not plus sizes). You just need to get the wireless charging case made by Bezalel. It's the case recommended by GM. I have it for my iPhone 6s and it works just fine.

From personal experience, apple is good at taking an existing idea and polishing it and integrating it into their eco system. For their original ideas.. I do not think most of them pan out quite as well.. I think the thing that bother's a lot of android users is that apple has a tendency to present the refined ideas as new and first in class.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter what you pick as long as you like it, but when it comes to recommending products to others I will usually recommend apple for simple users and android for more advanced users. As someone who loves to tweak, root, install custom roms, and torrent on my phone I would never consider switching back to IOS (had iphone1-4). Once you start tweaking and jailbreaking all the benefits from apple's integration quickly degrade and the devices has terrible stability issues.
