not only do i have the bog issue but my car doesn't like to burnout, i get an instant power loss / fuel cut when trying to do a stand still burnout.

feel free to watch to see what i mean

I've posted a thread about this as well as someone requested to "ask al" so that's been done as well.

Zach's car did the same crap. Tune will fix that!!

Couldn't do a full burnout...car wouldn't rev past 5K RPM just blurping the gas.

Looks like you are trying to do a brake stand? If you just launch it at some nice rpm you will get plenty of smoke lol...

Are you just looking to be able to stand there and boil your tires? If so your tuner should be able to turn off the rpm limiter as that gets confused by the high wheel speed and lack of the car moving at some point. I think it is some part of the stability control getting confused, and not too many folks are looking to do what you want to under those conditions I would assume?

Yes trying to do a brake stand burnout, but that makes sense will definitely get that tuned out then! The only reason why I even tried a brake stand burnout is because I went to the track a week or so ago and was in the low 40s, wanted to heat the tires a bit for a good run. Other then that yeah rev and dump the clutch and the car will do it’s job!

I’m kinda shocked that you guys can’t to a break stand....that, thankfully, is not something I’ve had an issue with. My car does burnouts for days, just doesn’t 60’ for sh!t with slicks, or street tires.

Were you running a skick or something at the track? If not, a huge burnout hurts, not helps street tires.

I haven’t tried what he has, no need to do that to $800 in tires lol. I’ve got no problem doing a nice burnout though.

Maybe you can do what he can’t all the time due to that being tuned out in your particular tune?

Now mind you I have an A8 but had the same issues at the dragstrip after the car was tuned. Stock tune at the track no problems at all. I went back after longtubes and E85 tune and the car would not do a burnout. Luckily my tuner was there at the track and had to alter some of the trq mngmnt tables. After he did that it was good to go.

Do you know what tables he changed?

I know launch control in the SS basically takes care of the gas control, meaning you can just hold it to the floor. However the clutch release is all driver control. Just because the car bogs doesn't necessarily mean you need to leave at a higher rpm! That's a good way to snap axle shafts and drive shafts! If your bogging, slip the clutch a tad more!

There’s something else that’s not allowing the engine to put full power out. It pulls timing and fuel as you’re releasing the clutch. When you have a sticky tire, it doesn’t do anything but make the car bog.
