Safelite destroyed my dashboard!

Had my windshield replaced and noticed all these marks on the dash. No matter what I use I cannot get it out. Any recommendations ?

looks like damage from a solvent.
The solvent dissolves the plastic and as such will leave permanent stains.
My guess is the person that installed the wind shield spilled the solvent cleaner when cleaning the window track.

What's the matter, isn't not giving a shit about other people's property and doing the job half-assed the standard today?

You are blowing this way out of proportion, you should only care about your property as much as the stranger that's working on it.

and after my little rant of sarcasm. Sorry they F'd you like that. You should call them and see if they will treat you the way they should treat a customer who they've wronged. I think the only remedy that would suffice is total replacement of the dash, and that will mean they need to eat a shit ton of $$$, so I expect they will deny any responsibility.

Bullshit on how they couldn’t have damaged it. Is the top part of the dash removable ?

You need to find out what that was that dripped. Call Safelite and ask them. In addition, they should make a drive to your house and rectify.

Safelite is a big company, they’re not gonna like you going on social media laying waste to them at this point. Find out who owns the franchise that worked on your car and talk to him if they Stonewall you.

I had Safelite do mine but but you have to do it the right way. Take it to the dealership and have them do it. They contract it out to Safelite being certified service there is a quality they must maintain. They got glue on my a pillar. I called the dealership they said they would call back. Week later I contact gm and that day the dealership calls me back saying bring it back so they can fix it. They attempted to clean it didn't work the ordered the replacement parts on the spot and put them in. Then hit Safelite with a big bill.

Certified dealership is the way to go. They give you any lip contact gm directly and they will get that fixed really fast.

But by law unless the paperwork you signed said they are not responsible for any damage or that you looked the job over and did not find any damage they must pay for it. They must fix or replace that dash to the see better condition. You have the right to use any repair shop or dealership you choose they can not tell you they will only pay for it if done at fast eddys hack shop.

Check up on your states laws. Knowing NY they probably have laws over that guy farting withen 20 feet of your car on a Tuesday after sunrise why faceing south East.

Take to social media. Tweet pictures and tag them. Have people retweet. And always remember. Sqeeky wheel gets the oil.

Sorry to hear that. I just used safe lite to replace my window up here in Buffalo. Luckily the gentlemen that worked on it was very careful and I couldn't have been more great full, he barely even used the throttle moving the car into the work area. Really hope they take good care of your situation.

Our insurance for work vehicles uses them. They’ve always done a great job, we use mobile service, and they always ask us to inspect the vehicle after the work.

Didn’t you inspect it after they were done?

it only takes one rock on the highway going 65mph... could happen the day you drive it off the lot.

Looks like the upper dash cover with HUD is $153 from GM. https://www.gmpartscenter.net/auto-p...omponents-scat

Peanuts for a company like Safelite. I wouldn't expect them to argue over it.
