Thoughts on putting on hood vent on my 2010SS

Hey everyone

I’m considering putting a hood vent (similar to the ZL1 or 2014 vents) on my black 2010 2SS.

I’d be interested in your thoughts, which one to buy, installation difficulty and any pics you may have.

Thanks!!!!

That looks awesome. Was it hard to do and where did you buy it?

hood

It helped me decide to buy the car. A prior owner bought the conversion package which included the hood, fenders and entire nose. I asked the guy I bought from but he didnt know all was done around 2019 Good luck, just thought you'd like to see a 2010 done

Be careful of the aftermarket ZL1 inserts. I bailed on the idea after this thread.
I’ve been looking for a used oem ZL1 insert or complete hood since but they are mighty scarce in good condition.

I used the ACS kit for mine, as a kit to just buy and install it's definitely the way to go, it includes the templates and rain tray as well as a GM vent, I will say the rain tray is designed to keep rain out but not so much let the heat out, it still does but by heat radiating through the tray not warm air coming out, but it's not that big of a deal, you can always DIY a better flowing one after the fact, the template alone was worth the cost in my opinion.
