The only thing I missed from the 2SS was the leather seats and knee pads. I found factory 2SS seat covers and switched them out along with the knee pads... All that being said the 1SS is the best deal of all the 6th gen Camaros bang vs buck imo. If you just want a straight line race car then the LT1 may be slightly better, but I still feel the oil, trans(mainly this one), and diff coolers are worth having and you don't get those on the LT1. The SS front fascia still looks better imo as well but I do like the LT1.

Personally I'm not a manual trans fan here in this darn NJ traffic, but that shouldn't deter the most staunch and dedicated

Been there done that! LOL. It was a really fun car, but I missed a manual too much. Banging the gears with NLS makes me smile. The ZL1 is one of the best performance bargains on the planet except for the new C8. But I have to say the ZL1 10 speed was badass and really works with you if you want to play. I loved it and was sad to part with it.
The LT1 has all I need and it is easy to make the LT1 as fast as a ZL1 if I want. So the LT1 is a blank canvas with really good bones. And after having so many Camaros with spoilers all over the place I can appreciate the LT1 clean look that really shows just how beautiful all gen 6 Camaros are. The one thing I will not miss on the ZL1 is the splitter. It took me only two days of ownership to put a nice scratch on it. Ouch!!

Yes most definitely on the potential of the LT-1! Yeah the day I bought my ZL1 I scraped a parking space concrete header at a gas station/McDonalds pulling up too far and when hearing the front splitter scrub I had a lump in my throat. Checked it though and it wasn’t as bad as I thought! After owning my 2016 2SS I wasn’t used to having that front splitter and I still catch myself being extra careful pulling into parking spaces especially those with those concrete headers/stops!

Biggest problem I had with the LT1 I was in was the sound system is pretty crap by today's standards. You can find spoilers on ebay for under $100 but the NPP option may make it hard to find the right deal on the LT1. The stock exhaust is pretty damn loud on a cold start(even on the V6) so I see the value in having it. |

https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=510907 If I go with a 1SS I will definitly do this. That sub thump connector is very cool but only works on the base sound system. This fixes the sound but for me but I still like the bigger screen you get with the Bose. Do you get that with the SS/1LE? Agreed about the Bose defficiencies. But for me it is just good enough. What is funny if you wear loose pants you can get them flapping with those door speakers. This may be why I am hard of hearing now......

True all SS models have the 8" screen but 1LE is different being it doesn't have a amp in the trunk to piggy back off of for signal. The 1SS is the easiest model to add amp with speakers and/ or subs.
