Finally ordered a 2018 2SS
Hello all. I have been on this forum for one year. Last May I had first refusal on a 2017 1SS 1LE, Garnet red. I turned it down for these reasons: We don't have a track to use on Vancouver Island. I also didn't like the "silk like " black hood. You scratch that and good luck!! Just my preferences. This car would have been a waste in my hands. So I waited for the 2018 and I have ordered a 2SS, White with the Red Line edition (Which is a heck of a deal. Black wheels, black out tail, black bowties, black hash lower grill accent etc...) I also have the sun roof, std transmission, dual performance exhaust (a must) Heads up display (std), navigation, and all the standard goodies that comes with the 2SS (non ILE). Should be here in late March. Can't wait. We're all different when it comes to colors but the white with all the black is very pleasing to the eye., I think, anyway. I was going to order the Recaro seats but after reading this forum, it isn't a great idea for just long road trips. The only thing missing is the performance air intake which I will add after market. (Dealer didn't order it. No big deal). I plan on totally customizing the engine compartment, anyway (photo is that of a 5th gen, but you get the idea). The wait is on. A couple of pictures of what the car will look like and the way I would like to do the engine bay. (PS: I had a 2014 2SS convertible automatic, no performance exhaust, AFM etc... and it didn't do it for me.)

Awesome getting what you want! Maybe one of the last great manual transmission cars too!

Congrats on the new ride, I have no doubt you will love it! The car in your photo has a SEMA grill with red inserts which looks totally cool. Is the grill part of the red line package? I was thinking about adding a red accented grill and red caliper covers to my hyper blue car

Hey Alp, what dealer did you go through? Did they give you a deal?
Bought my 50th anniversary convertible through Haley GM in Sechelt, the only dealer willing to negotiate on price. |

I did order my car with the Performance air intake and the black engine paint. So I won't have to buy the full engine package when it comes out.
