Basically the same as this one I posted above. Only differs by last digit in part number.
This bolts to the side of the tranny.

Good to know info, thanks for posting. Shame it requires (apparently) programming from the dealer after install. Looks as if it would be an easy DIY otherwise. Nice choice on your model/color too. How many miles on the car and how much did the dealer set you back for repair if you don't mind saying? Thanks again.

I doubt this requires any dealer programming.
The position sensor relies on a magnet attached to the gear selector within the transmission. As that magnet moves around with different gears it triggers sensors (Hall effect) within that rectangular unit bolted to the side of the tranny.

Yes exactly what ctrlz said above. Thank you ! I have 47k on her, and repair was covered in full under warranty
