Just another update on the solid bushings, I have notice when driving the car "spiritedly" around corners and curves and getting on it quickly the rear with the stock bushings used to just washout kinda and swap back and forth, hard to keep control of the rearend, now it is so solid that if you get on it after a downshift and the rear steps out, just let up a tad then stab it again and all is good. Hooks right back up, no swaying around anymore! These bushings are great!

Now, in the same situation, it's much smoother, I can modulate the throttle without that cradle slamming back to front to back so much. I'm sure the diff and axles appreciate that too. I do think it makes the car easier to launch as well - you don't have the spring "wind-up" effect those bushings make any more - they don't snap back as you're making your clutch release.

Finally ordered a set last night. Having a truetrack put in next week to replace the crap clutch type LSD that is failing. Might as well do the cradle bushings at the same time. Can't wait to get a tight, grippy rear end! Oh wait...my wife's um.....oh never mind.

Hey there, traction in my car is non-exsistant in first gear! lol.. Putting 470 to the wheels on street tires just doesn't get it done. But I will say when I roll into it with the 3400 stall then romp on it does hook up pretty well. The stock bushings used to take away from the traction due to wheel hop, and just plain sluggishness, but now when you want the power, it is a solid feel in the rear, no shimmy and wrap up like before, just plain puts it down to the road. Also when the tranny shifts nothing is lost, you can feel the difference for sure! My next mod is going to be solid engine mounts and a tranny mount to tie it all together. Install these and you will not be disappointed.

Nice. Hopefully they go in easily. I think it was zlathim who had to beat the crap out of his with a giant hammer to get them in. See my DIY in the suspension section for any reference you need. Its pretty easy though

Good morning sir, right now I am running 315/35/20 conti's out back on an 11.5 rim. The car is mostly a street car but maybe 3 times a year she will see the dragstrip for some runs. I haven't been over since we did the cam and stall because I know that I probably wouldn't be able to hook it up very well even though the track I run at is prepped well all the time. She is very quick now on the street but if I leave too hard, smoke show for sure. I am looking to get a set of welds for the rear and a DR for them for when I do go to the track. My builder said that if I get it to hook up and a good 60ft she would run low 11's. I was impressed, and he said yes sir it would do that. But haven't been yet.

Freeze them for a day or two and use a heat gun to warm up the cradle bores and put in the tops an then bottoms and they should just slide in. That's what I did with mine and didn't even use a hammer.

Ingenious! Mine went right in and locked into place when I torqued the bolts to spec. The inside of the hats were still warm from the blow torch.
