The 2022 would be a completely different order. Meaning the dealer would have to resubmit an all new 2022 order. Therefore you could make any changes you wanted to the order.

Anything left in system for 2021 would not automatically transfer over to a 2022. The 2021 orders would just get deleted.

From my dealer today which isn't anything new or helpful that I can tell:

it appears all orders will move to a 2022 build as production begins 2nd week of July

I asked for and will get my $1K deposit back.

My car was built the week if 15 Feb and has been sitting with Lancer-Racer trust since 22 Feb, got the below update today so hoping it will be soon shipped but not holding my breath. Anyone else in Canada waiting as long as me?

I just don’t get it. I have been stuck at 3400 since mid February. So the car might be in some state of completion, Or not even started at all. You would think gm would have a bit more marketing concerns and be able to tell everybody when they expect their car to be completed or whether to just cancel the 2021 order and order a 2022. Be up front with the customer instead of hiding in the basement.

There are plenty of new SS's out there. The locator shows like 150 in a 500 mile radius of me.

There's 7 new 2ss within 500 miles of me. There aren't as many as you think

Definitely not many out there.. hopefully I can get one within the next few months. Put an “order” in on may 5th but who knows when it will actually happen..

i hear you. ive considered alot of other options and thought long and hard about a supra. What evetually put me off from it was a lack of Android Auto and more importantly the super tiny fuel tank, only 13 gallons.

Same to me.
I ordered my 2021 zl1 1le in shock color on Jan 14 with $5000 deposit.
And my order had accepted by GM in the first week of Feb. When I asked my order status in ealier march, I got the tentative build week of May 3rd with status code 3000. Then as you know the production halted, I had received a update to move the tenative build week to June 21st . Yesterday, I found the production has been halted again until the end Jun. I checked with my dealer today. They said car has a target build week of July 5th, and it will be still a 2021model. Should I change it to 2022 model?

Dealers can already submit preliminary orders. There's just no allocation for them yet.
