I don’t mind paying taxes....

Because America isn’t free.

I understand our taxes go to lots if good stuff and other stuff we ain’t too fond of like welfare programs and making politicians rich and all that...but damn it all of our roads should be pot hole free and smooth as glass!

If road funds weren't misappropriated so often then maybe the roads would be smooth as glass, but you know politicians and money. They see it sitting and they have to spend it regardless of what it is meant for.

The republic was intended to be small, not this disaster we have now. Some taxes are necessary but for the most part we are getting gang banged by a bunch of seditious azzhats willing to print our problems away.

Sadly the coins in my pocket nowadays are just junk metal. I wonder if the new generation knows how to make a silver coin ring or have seen a gold/silver certificate?

Stuntman let’s not get to far off topic out of respect for the rules, that is, wishing our roads were better, could be better...and should be better based on how much taxes we pay.

Either way we might get nixed discussing this...but when highways are literally bad enough to break your car...things aren’t so good are they? That was my only point.

Wouldn’t you just go off-road in that scenario?

Yup, don't need them smooth as glass but at least repaired and patched regularly would be nice.

And Colorado has pretty bad roads..so that’s saying a lot. Interesting perspective.
