Procharger and full stainless works install in KC?

Hey folks,

I know Procharger is local and they recommend a couple places for install work in the area but has anyone done a Procharger on their SS that would recommend an installer/tuner? I would like to add the full SW headers through catback at the same time and get it all tuned at once. Doesn't seem like we have a lot of speed shops around anymore.

I wish I could help more I want to do the same thing and I'm looking as well. I would defiantly stay away from mc racing though. Had an awful tune and service there on my 99 ws6.

Go to KC gen6 on facebook if you live in KC. One of the members has had a procharger for over a year.

Thanks, sboden, I'll check it out. Us 2017 guys have the complication of the ECU being locked which adds a unique wrinkle to getting a tune compared to a 2016 car. Dustinmaro, I used to go to MC Racing for dynos when I had my 98 and 2003 Cobras and I agree with you. Anyone checked out house of boost at all? That's immediately who the Procharger folks said to talk to right before they told me I have to bring them my ECU to be re-flashed since they can't unlock it with the handheld tuner yet. I'd like to be able to go back to stock if necessary without paying someone to re-flash it again so no thanks.

You said it's locked.. What does that mean? Is it just like 17s or newer? Or just don't have software for them yet?

17s or newer. They have apparently locked the ECU with some kind of password or something. HP Tuners software can unlock it if you have a tuner who uses their stuff. The handhelds like Procharger sells with their HO kit can't tune a 17-up Camaro so they have you send them your ECU for a re-flash. It isn't uncommon, manufacturers have been doing this for years. It would sure be nice if they had a performance tuning partner program or something so we could massage the tune and keep it under warranty if done by a partner or dealer.

That is a really good idea. It would be nice to be able to take your car in the dealership and have them tune.
