EXHAUST Question

Well I have played around with my exhaust and I do like where it is. It sounds much deeper and better than stock for sure. But can I do better? Currently I have Flowmaster super 44 series mufflers, and resonator replaced with a regular Xpipe. I still have both sets of cats. I was thinking of going in to remove the butterfly valves and straight pipe the crushed in part of the exhaust for convertibles, but was thinking what else I could do since that wouldnt really change sound at all. What if I remove my primary cats? I hear theres a lot of drone that way and I'd like to avoid at least some if possible. What if I added a second set of mufflers? What about high flow cats to replace the primaries? Anybody have any options? My worry is that because I enjoy the sound now that I have a chance of making it sound like a Honda or something if I mess with it too much. But I feel theres a good bit of room for improvement as its not a lot louder than stock.

In my honest opinion, I think the borla atak is one of the only good axle backs for the V6. I think you should keep the x-pipe but get different mufflers. I would suggest either Borla (s-type or atak) or an MBRP axle back. All in all, your set up is great but the muffler is the one thing you could change if you wanted to do better.

I like the muffler though. In person it sounds pretty similar to Borla and only cost me $140 for both mufflers. It sounds so deep and makes me happy every time I hear it. Is there any reason I cant replace the primary cats with high flow cats?

Update: I bought some Magnaflow high flow cats, 5 year warranty. Hopfully this helps, i'll be sure to post some before/after videos on my YouTube and Instagram when they get installed.

I also installed the Borla ATAK mufflers on my V6 and they sound even better than the video samples I previewed. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
