140 to 150 is still safe and can happen in those temps with any blower like in traffic, long lines in the staging lanes and they should come down as you start moving air thru the front heat exchanger.

I know you have probably heard us say this before, but this can be avoided with the proper crankcase evacuation system. And that is NOT a breather system. You need a system designed just for the LT4 engine that pulls full time suction on your engine VS allowing pressure to build and then vent. This systems allow pressure to build to the point of causing failures like this. The stock system absolutely is not capable.


And as another benefit wear is greatly reduced as this oil analysis shows at over 13k miles on 20# of boost:
