Does anyone think that with control over the chassis control module, or whichever module controls the traction and launch control, we can tune it to be more effective. It seems like everyone hates the launch control and think it bogs and takes out too much power. I know from my testing I can match launch controls times. I just feel like maybe if we could tune and optimize it especially with mods, we could use to it our advantage.

I turned launch control down to its lowest at 7or800Rpm’s. I also lowered the LSD control to its lowest, I believe 5.5%.??? I got no bog but did get some tire spin. I ran a crappy 60’ of 2.3 and an 11.9 1/4 at 125mph

I've never used launch control at the track, but my testing on the street tells me, unless you had an awesome prepped track that dead hooked the car on launch, 5% is the worst setting for getting a good time. The 5%-15% adjustment is the tire slip percent allowed before traction control pulls power. I've gotten my best launch control 0-60 times with the tire slip at 12% and RPM between 1000 and 1200. I've always beat launch control with my foot though, so that's why I've never used it at the track. Just turn everything off or use Competitive Mode while in Sport.

Very simple answer, try it all!
I've been drag racing since '87 & every change I make to my race car is by making passes to see if it works or not. Keep making changes until it is dialed in. |
