^ I'm in this same category. I've already ordered my basic bolt ons for the GT350, but let's not kid ourselves. Stock vs Stock and the Zl1 gaps the hell out this car. The 350 is gutless down low and torqueless, but whatever. I actually find it a fun car to drive to be honest with ya. Sounds freaking insane. I'm gonna enjoy it. It's a little enjoyable car. It won't give you the scare factor that the Zl1 can give.

If I were you, I'd hit that GT350 with LTs, light boost thru a centri blower, some meth or a chiller, and a mild tune. Bump it up to about 600 RWHP safely and call it a day.

How do you like the handling/steering of your GT350 compared to your ZL1?

Haha, already on that path. Intake and tune will be done this week. I have to wait for some funds to be transferred, but next will be headers/Pro Charger/Meth. Call it a wrap.

It feels lighter on it's feet for sure. It's not a bad handling car actually. So far, I've been impressed. Never thought I'd say that, but it rides great and handles pretty damn good. It's not as heavy as the Camaro that's for sure and you can feel it. It's still pretty gutless tho. haha. Plus, it's my 1st ever manual so I'm having fun with it.

last thing I would do is hang a blower off the front of the motor on that car. Whipple or leave it n/a.

Actually, a 800 hp, 8250 redline sounds glorious.

It has those CF wheels right? That would help in how light it feels. Or is it just for the R??

After seeing the differences in IATs between a PD blower and a centri I gotta say I would never do a PD blower again.

I'm not sure but I doubt any tuner would keep the redline at 8250 if you're adding boost. Even with a chiller or meth setup added. Even if they did I personally would not want it that high on these engines unless they can more than assure me that it'll be fine and run it pig rich at the top.

Exactly. The car is tuned for high rpm operation while an ideal blower setup generally has different copression ratios and cam timing.

The motor is intended to be a high rpm na screamer. Not a supercharged monster. Thats the 500...

Also intake and exhaust manifolds are tuned for the current peak torque/power rpm range.

I don't know. My buddies 1000 hp Voodoo moves out pretty well. I'd post the video of our race, but I'd get banned. haha. We ran heads up basically till 160. I edged him out by about a bumper then we both said enough. I'm full interior. He's gutted with just a drivers seat and roll cage.

If the Zl1 was able to ring out to 7500 rpms and stay in the power band longer, it would of been at least a car, maybe more. But, anyhow. Of course, he's on his 2nd motor.

And now I'm going on my 2nd trans..................maybe.

Yea I was about to say if he is at 1000 HP then he isn't on the stock engine at all. That's the thing with these builds. There will always be problems and issues and shit breaking. Which is why I am refraining from doing a serious build. I've had engines blow up on me back in my 4.6 liter Mustang days and they were cheap but costs add up. These days stuff is way more expensive. Plus I don't have the time, energy, or desire to do my own work anymore. Which means time waiting for parts waiting for installs etc. Just to get the car back and something else go wrong and by the time everything is ironed out there is a stock factory car with more HP. So screw it.
