Exhaust Solution? Xpipe + NPP + No Drone + Reasonable
What is the best solution out there for those of us who do not / cannot tune the car due to warranty concerns.
I feel Corvettes have more reasonable / price sensitive options. Looking for an XPipe + Axle Back w/ NPP Functionality that does not drone at Highway/Cruising speeds and is crucially under $1,000 in cost. Everything I've seen online is easily north of > $1,000. I would love to install headers but that inevitability means a tune which translates to warranty issues. Let's discuss!

My $.02:
Keep the OEM suitcase! Purchase the Corsa mid-pipe https://rdpstore.com/p-12379-corsa-3...vel-14788.aspx Be sure to PM dynosteve for the forum member discount code. NO drone at ANY rpm/load with this setup! |

Borla 60606 and 60608 (not sure if there's a code for them together but, there should be). Call Borla and ask them otherwise you'll wind up with a midsection of pipe you don't need.
Secondary cat delete, X-Pipe, w/Resonator (eliminates drone), and keep the OEM suitcase. Easily under $1K. |

Update. Looks like the 60606 has been discontinued, the 60607 states that it deletes the AFM valves but, I don't think that matters as there's no AFM on these cars.
Either way, I'd call Borla and ask them. |

I have Kooks 2” headers and 3” x pipe into the factory NPP and it’s basically stock sounding in Tour, but gets wild when you open it.
It’s excellent.

Has anyone heard or seen the Hooker BlackHeart Axel back dual transverse dual mode exhaust? Looks like it gets rid of the crushed pipes as well

The Awe touring axle back is suppose to be excellent from what I've researched. I do not want to tune my car either so this is what I will be doing. Just hope its not to loud.
The axle back will cost me just a tad over a grand with my military discount. Sounds nice and deep and zero drone. They have drone cancellation technology like corsa. https://youtu.be/KHzO25F6JdY |

As someone who wants to be a good neighbor and has a toddler, the NPP functionality is critical.

Yea for initial cold starts that might be a problem. From what i've been told the Awe axle back is quiet when needed and only aggressive when getting on it. Told that it does such a good job of being quiet when it needs to be and animal when you want it that it negates the need for having NPP. Like I said cold starts will probably be a problem. If you want to retain the npp function look to the overly priced borla axle back. Best option for you though it seems because money is an issue will be just replacing the mid pipe with the corsa or borla pipe. |

Borla S-Type Cat Back--money well spent and fully-functional NPP valves and keeps all Smog equipment (both sets of CATs).
