6,200 miles here and I have the "card in the spokes" sound coming from the front wheels mostly the R/F.
No biggie.

Everything else still quiet like new.

I can take corners i couldnt with my vette. As far as throttle response, you seem experienced, so when you say you feel it lacking i dont second guess you a bit. But try sport mode. sport steering, and everything else track. This combo to me is perfect. I daily this crazy car everyday. Love it.
Ported throttle body helps...

Actually I just discovered last night watching Leathal Camaro videos on YouTube the Vitren (bad spelling) throttle controller, I’m going to go with that instead. It’s cheaper, easier, and will give me the feel I want.

I've had a throttle controller and it was not the same . It changes response time but does not really feel better like a ptb... response mid corner is much better with a throttle body...throttle controller doesn't help that...pray or vmax is $150 or so.. I felt a big improvement..throttle controller just opens faster which to me is no help on a roadcourse..

Concur....car feels underpowered. My AMG 43 twin turbo V-6 feels faster with 364 hp. Actually, it might be faster 0-60 since it is all wheel drive and a 4.2-4.3 sec car, super quick off the line. Up to the driver there. It is also quite a bit heavier, so I am not sure why the 1LE is feeling slower. Even on the track, I was disappointed with the power, but was awed by the handling. The car really needs another 100 hp out of the box. So, instead....I will have to make that happen and be happy with this incredible car!

What mode do you track the car in? Note the power delivery will vary depending on a mode selected and hence impact how a car feels. Of course an SS in not a ZL1 but even with long gears there is ton of torque available pretty much everywhere.

Seriously though, good write up.
I'm at 13k miles and have had rattles come and go. Rear package shelf, passenger door skin, passenger seatbelt retractor, all at their own time. Drove me nuts for a while but went all eventually away by themselves for whatever reason. I like it when they disappear!

At lower speeds, this will definitely be true, the AMG will make full torque at lower RPM due to it's turbo setup, that torque number usually corresponds to the torque at the wheels for german cars, it has AWD so it won't spin the wheels and can apply it fully at low speed, and it will change gears faster and more optimally than a human. At higher (highly illegal) speeds, the Camaro will be faster because it corners much better thanks to better suspension, chassis, roll bars-etc., has more power and torque higher in the rpm range, has better brakes, and the eLSD. If you want the best car to get the drop off the line or just slam the throttle and go, these won't be the best cars for you.

What you can do is exercise your engine more, get it up to that 5000+ range. It loves to drive all day at 1000rpm and we kind of get used to this, so any time we want to go fast we are in an totally inappropriate gear, but practice getting the RPMs up there and you will go. It takes more work (gears, etc.), but that's the point of this car.

Good idea on the upper RPM range EXCEPT..... You can almost watch the gas needle heading to Empty. You drive it like that and you will see 10 MPG and with a 19 gallon tank, its almost $70 to fill up.

Exactly.
The 1LE and my C6 were rated fairly close in EPA MPG ratings, but in reality the 1LE is a pig.

I didn't buy the 1LE for fuel economy. Keep it above 4K rpm. Big difference in feel.

On a two or three hour trip I probably won't keep it above 4000 rpm, but that's just me.
