Do you track the car? Just because they are squeaking doesn't mean they need to be replaced. Brembos are known to be noisy. I have 65,000 miles on mine with roughly 40% pad left and have never been replaced.

Just cause they are making noise don't mean they are bad. Check how much material is left on the pad first before spending the money and finding out you didn't need to replace them. That is unless you want to go to a ceramic pad and rid yourself of that thick brake dust.

Oh ok.. Its not a track car and dosent have any special other then what comes with base ss1. Just basically date night car with the girlfriend or night out on the town. Owned it for 2 years now. I drove it pretty hard on back roads with alot of turns a few times after break in period but thats about it. I heard the squeal and just assumed time to change. just started and never heard it before. But i'll give it a look. Was considering upgrading to the 1le breaks but wasn't wanting to do that for a while.

How is the performance of the ceramic compared to what i have now?

Yeah, you should definitely check pad thickness, make sure the noise is coming from the wear indicators before replacing the pads. These brakes can squeak. Mine stopped making noises after burnishing, but of course there is a little temporary squeaking after each wash.

As to the performance of ceramic pads, I never had them, but there are several threads here with many comments from owners, and the consensus seems to be that you sacrifice bite and stopping power for significantly less brake dust with them.

Are these the ones you are talking about?

https://www.phastekperformance.com/P...-z26-1474a.htm

https://www.amazon.com/Power-Z26-147...2521992&sr=8-1

I might also buy a set and keep it in my garage for whenever I need them. I suppose the rear ones wear much slower than the front ones, right?

Yes...I installed these pads shortly after I bought the car back in 2017. Way less dust then OEM but you do take a hit on braking power. Not a big deal for the street...they still have plenty of stopping power.
