The weather people called it dead on where I lived , well almost. They said snow at 1:00 PM and it was almost exact. They did call for 3-5" but we got 1 ft but that is normal at the top of the hill I live on. If you drive into the valley and then down toward 78 there is always half the snow.

If you ask me the State and many of the local towns screwed up. They might not have ordered salt and for sure the State wasn't salting but Morris County was doing a good job. So much for that increase in the gas tax to pay for roads maintenance ehhh! They just took the money and ran as usual.

Yeah, if there ever was a completely predictable snowfall, this was it. We knew days ahead of time and even the timing was unusually perfect. I'm quite unhappy to see a foot of snow on Nov 15th, but it is what it is, perhaps next spring will actually come in late March, early April instead of what we got this year.

Not sure I fully agree with you on the good job, though, the amount of salt they spray here in Morris is insane, there are literally mounds of salt on the roads in my neighborhood... grass needs to be completely reseeded next to the sidewalk every year, and our last SUV looked like a rust bucket underneath after only a few years. Can't believe there is no better alternative, sand, ground mulch or something less corrosive and anti-environment.

Yep. We plan to take our money and run out of NJ in about 2 years.

Then our wonderful ****face governor blew it off, didn't think it was a big deal and blame the weather forecasters. I seriously want to kick anyone that voted for this guy square in the taint.

Luckily it was snow where it work for a little bit and all rain where I live, I have the BMW anyway...but I do feel bad for the north jersey people, you guys had one hell of a day.

Normally in a snow storm from 3 to 6 inches the roads are not an issue here , they pre treat and plow . The problem last week was the weather report was not even close nothing political just bad weather prediction. I added a story below that tells the truth.

We got about 6" where I am and I didn't have too much trouble with it. There was probably 2-3" when I left work. BMW wheels with 7 year old Blizzaks did pretty well. I'm getting new Hakkapeliitta R3's next week though.

some people can't drive, last year driving up my street a jeep & a suv got stuck the jeep at a stop sign the suv in a parking space, here I come in my camaro rear wheel drive passed both of them right up. lucky the guy at the stop sign was over far enough so I could get by.

If it makes you feel any better, it goes faster than you think. We started our countdown 7 years ago and it went by in the blink of an eye.

Out of NJ for 10 years no - no regrets
Estimated to have saved $140k in real-estate taxes alone.

My only request is that people continue to make this state blue stay put and suffer the consequences of their voting pattern.
