Might be a dumb question but does the GM CAI also delete the sound tube?

No, however my 2020 2SS came without a factory sound tube... The intake pipe had the hole but there was a plug in it as well as on the firewall from the factory... I took the plug from the factory intake tube and installed it on the GMP CAI intake tube...
