from the day i got my LS3 car, i thought it was slow. i'm use to my cammed LT1 and the LS3 doesnt seem like it has the same balls. I just pulled the fuses, and will prob take it for a spin later to see if it changed anything. Hopefully it will do some good. Ive only got under 900 miles on the car.

At this point all cars whould have the right updates wether from dealers or factory. Can't hurt though. When I did it back in August after 3 months of fighting with it, I knew the second I started the car.

I didn't plan on having my car dynoed this weekend, it just sort of happened. When I looked at the numbers, I was shocked. 355hp on an LS3 is definitely low!

The owner of Arrowlane told me that the car is running fat, and that I need to do the battery disconnect.

So the very next day, I disconnected the battery. My wife wanted to know if she could drive her car, so I began researching this thread. Pages and Pages and PAGES of it!!!

Amazingly enough, there is no definite evidence or procedure for the LS3. While the L99 gets the majority of attention, nobody has authenticated if a fuse pull is adequate, and whether or not the battery disconnect will do it by itself.

I did both, and I still have no idea how long I should have left the car "dead" to the world. Is 4 hours enough? 8??? Nobody seems to document this part with any regularity.

I left mine disconnected for TWENTY hours. I did not lose radio or BT settings. Car configuration was also saved.

Today the car did 25mpg on the freeway. She also seems peppier. But unless I get back to Arrowlane, I am not sure how I'll be able to verify this did anything real.

The owner of Arrowlane assured me it would get me 20hp back. For now, I'll just enjoy that I have the car for a day while my wife drives my mini-van.

I dynoed my car before the fuse pull. I haven't gone back to do it again because I needed no verification. I knew and could prove without a dyno. The LS3 I'm not sure about. I would love for you to dyno it to get some solid confirmation. Of course you did both the battery and the fuses so we won't learn anything from that, but at least it will be solid. I suspect the battery disconnect doesn't do anything. Unless it's completely different than the L99. Not sure why it would be. I disconnected the battery a month before my fuse pull and it did nothing.

o.k not sure what this thread is about but I think it's about d cheap gas and the fuses right? I'm a little confuse, so we should pull he fuses out if the car ever had low octane gas? Mine had it when I pick it up so should I do it. Sorry for being such a dumb ass and not understanding.

If the car had low-octante fuel from the beginning, then yes pull the fuses and leave them out for a few hours.

The car is supposed to have been updated to restore automatically. I can't seem to get a confirmation on this. The newer ones should have been corrected at the factory and the early ones should have been flashed with the update at the dealer on service.

Surely the engineers that came down and discovered this on Scotts car did the necessary updates. I'm gonna try to get confirmation.

spooky0, let us know if you see a change.
