Noise from back window convertible
My convertible is making a weird popping noise that's coming from the back window. I've looked everywhere and have taken it in 4 times with no luck so far. Nothing is loose and the noise isn't necessarily a "rattle" but it drives me CRAZY. I absolutely love the car but I must figure out what this is and how to stop it. 2016 RS, and it's clearly coming from the back window since I can drive slowly and as soon as it raises to lower the top the noise stops. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Check your trunk; that handle may be rolling around (under the floor cover)...

Definitely not that. I removed all of the floor covers in the trunk and looked. Then I literally got in the trunk and had my husband drive around the block to try to find it. You can hear it from the outside of the car too.

Thanks for the suggestions. Dealer has had it for two days and says they may have to replace the top. I'll update when I get more details.

Try pushing down on rear window to see if you can make the noise you hear while driving,if so it may be the back piece of trunk behind rear seat.I. stopped a noise by putting a square piece of carpet padding in between. You can pull up the bottom of the trunk panel enough to slide the pad in.

Anybody have issue with wind noise at the driver door seal that joins the smaller back side window?

There was a similar post sometime ago and it turned out to be loose tonneau I believe. He put some felt on it and it fixed the problem. I apologize for not being more specific, I'll see if I can find it for you.
** Here you go found it. Not saying this is it, but might be worth a shot. http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showth...=478741&page=2 |
