thats fine. its one of those "things" ya know.

I usually change my oil every 5k (depending on the vehicle and miles I've put on it, if I tow a lot, I change sooner).

but I do the can of seafoam in the gas tank every oil change (~5k) and do the whole oil system every 10k. so you are halfway between my change points.

arent people with SS's ok because they have a catch can?

I know us "v6ers" are kinda in trouble in a couple of years....

SS models do not come stock with catch cans. ZL-1's come with one on the "clean" side, though.

You may be thinking of the fact that since the V6s are direct injection, they are more prone to build-up on the intake valves since they don't get fuel washing over them constantly.
