You can also check if your installer can get Llumar PPF. That's what my installer used.

Suntek and Llumar are same manufacturer, different marketing names. I had Suntek clear installed last month to all impact areas, it came out awesome looks better/shinier than before. Suntek film has the water shedding built in, self healing and is supposedly clearer and has less orange peel than Xpel. You can also buy it in precut pieces and install yourself.

I have Suntek Ultra on my car. It has lower haze and less orangepeel than both 3M and Xpel. Installer also preferred it, saying it was easier to wrap and tuck all the sharp corners on the nose of the car with less peelback.

After nearly 4 years it still looks as fabulous and performs as well as it did week 1.

Not going with Xpel might turn out to be an advantage in the end, because it's indeed orange peel-y, as Gunkk said.

I have a question. I wanted to get this done on my Z28 but they heavily recommended that I wait 6 months for my new paint to cure before doing it. Well.. the time period has passed but untortunately I have also incurred some dings and chips since then too.. ..Can they repair those without repainting the whole nose or would I need to have it repainted again before having XPEL applied to my fascia?

You can apply touch up paint to the chips. It’s not going to look perfect but it will be less noticeable. If you want perfect results then it will need a repaint. It all depends on what you think is acceptable and how much money you want to spend.

Good to hear....

I've had XPel on several of my older cars and (at the high recommendation of a group of older car buddies on the west coast) chose Suntek on my last daily driver.

IMO it was much better than Xpel; having a higher level of gloss, easier to install (based on my installer, who was a Xpel authorized installer), and accepted top coatings better.

Suntek! That's the equivalent product that I couldn't think of. I've been super happy with the Llumar on my car. It's really barely noticeable unless you're inches away and it's not orange peel-y in my opinion, but I haven't seen Xpel up close to compare.

I have Xpel on the front of my vehicle, there is no orange peel or lack of gloss. Maybe its changed over the years.
