No recalibration of ECU/MAF 2021 LT1/SS

So I bought a 2020 Chevrolet performance intake for 2021 purchase I just got. Dealer or rather, GM/Chevy wont due to emissions wont flash ECU/MAF on car.

So if you want a 50 state legal intake or one on warranty. That no longer exists : (

That's surprising. I thought they had a CARB cert for the GM air intake (w/ their tune as a package deal).

Me too. Why they are not offering a 2021 GM intake for it. My dealer confirmed and Pat at shopchevyparts dot com double confirmed. He said if they don’t come built from factory they wont be legal, or something to that effect. Total drag.

I’ve been wondering about this. There was, until recently, a gm cai listed on shopchevyparts for ‘21. Pulled the trigger on a rotofab earlier this morning after I noticed the listing for the ‘21 edition is gone. Wonder why on that.

You guys can buy a Cold Air Inducctions CAI (the GM supplier) or a Rotofab and save some $$ and easily install it yuorself.

Has anyone on here ever had thier Camaro warranty denied for having a CAI? Please post here with the details if so.

You bought a Chevy sports car GM expects you to track.

Stop worrying! A CAI adds 5% more fun , but no performancs gain like the 5th gens. You only live once.

Likely part of new EPA guidelines under the Biden admin.

Just put the intake on it and enjoy. Or better yet return it and put a Roto-fab on it. If you absolutely have to go to a dealership, just put back the stock intake.

But I don’t trust any stealership to even check my tire pressures without fubaring something up.

I just bought a used 2017 2SS CPO and which is supposed to have like a 170+ multi-point inspection done. They didn’t inspect anything. Trans pan had a dent in it was trans fluid was 3 quarts low. Fixed both myself.

Well, I just checked the Chevy website and sure enough it’s no longer listed as an available accessory for the 2021s but still available for 2020s. So technically, a dealer would say we can install one on your 2020 and remap it and it would be under warranty but not your 2021. Even though it’s the exact same car.

Welcome to the f’d up world we live in today. And that’s all I’m a gonna say about a that.

Actually, I’d now prefer information only from the source. The circus otherwise known as media is completely dead to me, and this was long before 2016.

I've switched off almost all social media, completely rejected corporate media and follow a few diverse independent journalists focused on areas I care about.

I already had been rejecting corporate media for years but it got so bad in 2020 I killed off twitter, facebook, etc as the censorship and propaganda has reached insane levels now.

Definitely.

I tried Twitter for about 5 minutes when it first came out and all it was was idiots arguing over nonsense and trying to dig up the most derogatory names to call each other. Axed my account quickly. Then Facebook is full of the same so I just make jokes and post stupid stuff that no one can get mad at.
