The car can't do anything the driver doesn't control. It's not the car, it's the driver mod.

A 6th gen ZL1 with all-season tires and the electronic aids turned "off" would be a white knuckle ride!

That said it has a predictable, linear torque curve.
Most of us are not as skilled as drivers as we like to think we are.
A little time with an knowledgeable instructor is not only fun, it can reap massive benefits!

The replies seem pretty consistent. I have heard that the torque causes it to loose traction and spin the tires. But according to the replies the Alpha chassis can put the power down. I think we have a consensus.

I do know about modulation and tend to lift off the throttle when the tires start to slip. Heck, I can't even do a burnout its so instinctive!

Its starting to look like this Camaro ZL1 is the bargain performance car of the decade.

If you drive it like a sensible human being however, it's no harder to handle than any other car on the road. It's a fantastic machine, and will give as much as you ask, or go as slow as you require.

The nannies actually do a great job of keeping thing under control.

I have a stock 5th gen ZL1 (2013) that I use every day in the summer with no issues whatsoever.

I have also had a chance to put several hundred miles on a new ZL1 1LE. Once to drop the tires pressure to around 29psi, I'd have no problems driving that around town either.

Now if you've modded the car and no have 650-700+ rwhp, you might need to learn how to use a light foot in traffic.

Respect the power, and the car will love you.

You also better own an underwear company, because you’ll be throwing a lot away.

No it isnt too much for the streets.
And even if it was you would still have to use the streets because the Mustangs are using the sidewalks.
