I might have been cheaper lol
Actually we can easily use up the LT-4 fuel system with some E-60 and 11 PSI boost.

Add a cam with a 32% lobe and stretch the LT-4 fuel system to about 742 on E-60.

You will run out of fuel sooner than you think.

Sorry Ted I didn't mean to jack your thread... Mad prompts to you and the work that you do. If I still lived up in Ledyard I'd definitely come see you.

I’m planning a 32% lobe cam lol... I have the zl1 in tank pump not the injectors or high pump. With methanol on around 640 to the wheels at what point would you recommend a set of drop in pistons?

After you install the LT-4 injectors and high pressure fuel pump.

I guess it is all tuner opinion. There are daily driven lt1's with stock internals and stock fueling with procharger and meth running over 800rwhp that have over 20k miles on them with zero issues. Very confusing

Stock internals and 800whp? Not unless they pulled it apart and regapped the rings. Otherwise that’s just plain stupid. Also stock fueling even with 100% meth is highly doubtful.

Search Cleetus Macfarland on YouTube. Check out his C7. Not saying it’s safe by any means. But he has over 20k Miles in that car with zero issues.

I see your point, although I’m not sure if I would consider a cammed LT1 stock internals by its definition. Just skeptical because my car is very close to running out of fuel the way it is and at 580whp I don’t understand how meth would get me over 800. But most of my information doesn’t come first hand, just what I read here so I wouldn’t be the most knowledgeable source anyways.

Because the cam has a 32% fuel lobe which increases the fuel system headroom by a good amount. That combined with meth could easily contribute to why cleetus can make that kind of power. Plenty of LT1's making big power SBE...all in the tune just like it was with LS stuff.

Good information for me! I plan on trying to mimic this setup within the next year. I’ll make sure to keep updated as I go.

Right... but he said stock internals. And I figured a cammed motor, especially on one of these cars would not be considered stock internals.
