Hmm, not sure what he's smoking lol. All you need for stage 2 in either a WRX or STi is a downpipe and accessport, which will run you about $1200. That'll put the car in the mid to high 12s. A stock SS generally runs high 12s/low 13s.

Oooh, look how many f$@*s I give! I'm sure it smoke the doors off my car, but it still looks like stir-fried crap.

Absolutely Love this.

T'was a night in mid May and caught at the light,

Should I try, should I dare with my much smaller motor,

try to beat that Camaro- even with that big blower?

As the light turned to green, I pulled like no joke

Camaro erupted in clouds of tire smoke.

On Smasher, on Rev-ver, on Stroker, on Blitzen!

(These are the names of my four VTEC pistons.)

Racing ahead I’m the star of the action-

but I know I’m in trouble when Camaro gets traction.

Grabbing second, I hear the RPMs sing

My mirror is blocking my shopping cart wing…

I now hear the roar of the big monster gaining,

And try in vain to keep my four bangers straining.

In a second the shock wave hits with a blast

and my stickers go flying, now a thing of the past.

Don’t bother with third, cause now it’s too late

So I try to act cool like I can relate.

As I watched the taillights get smaller and smaller,

The driver backed off to give me a holler-

“You can’t win them all,” he said with a smile,

“Camaro clocks under 12 on the quarter mile.”

I never understood the idea of taking an Economy car (civic) and turning it into a "race car"... The whole reason you would buy an economy car is for fuel economy, inexpensive and reliability, pretty sure making it into a race car ruins all 3 of those.

Yes...but with the honda...its very reliable..you can increase the hp on the small motor quit a bit with mostly stock components. Its an econmy car for sure...but its plentiful and cheap. Thats the attraction.

Bob Glidden was a childhood hero.

People race lawnmowers, hell they hop up the chainsaws at lumberjack competitions. God Bless America.

Last night some moron in a ricer was revving his leaf blower at me asking if I wanted to race. Lol

I will admit SOME civics etc CAN be fast but that is only because they are built turbo motors etc. you can make anything fast with a turbo. But at the end of the day, they still sound like diarrhea with their fart cans and they usually look like garbage with different colors on each body part etc lol

My first car back in the late 1970's was a Pinto... and I dropped a V8 into it. The thing was FAST. I only did it because my dad would not let me buy a Camaro, he forced me into a 4 cylinder Pinto instead, so the upgrade my buds and I did over a few weekends to it was kind of my rebellion. Eventually, I traded it away for my first Camaro.

Oh geez a Pinto. I would have just driven that thing off a cliff and saved for that first Camaro. Only two things are worse that the Pinto, and they are called Gremlin and Pacer.

Whenever I see one of the three 70's abominations driving down the road, I can't help but burst out into laughter. Those were some ugly cars. Right up there with the AMC Eagle...
