What fueling mods is needed for E85?

Hey guys,

I have been reading all the threads on fueling and it seems like there is a lot of different answers about how much power you can achieved on certain fuel setups. I’m look for 625-650whp on 91 or 675-700whp on E85, I would like not to install a cam just in case I have to go back to stock at some point, Thanks for the info guys.

I've spoken to just about everyone and the general consensus is that you will peak out at 630-650 on e60ish. If you want anything over those numbers you would absolutely have to upgrade your cam or go to a secondary port injection system. Both cost over 5k installed from what I have seen.

We have made 660 RWHP on E-60 There is no advantage to higher content, We tested E-70 and E-85 with no gains and we started to find the injector pulse width going higher than I like to be totally safe.

660 RWHP is where I feel the limit is on the LT-4 fuel system parts on our particular Superflow Dyno and our 17 1LE car, Heartbeat, 80mm pulley, Rotofab, LT headers, w cats, with exhaust back to stock NPP muffler.

Numbers may vary from dyno to dyno and car to car.

Ted.

What octane is E60?

How far can you go on the stock fuel system?

I don't believe you can safely run a forced induction setup on E85 with the stock fuel system and cam. On 93 you can get to 580-600whp depending on dyno.

Sorry I don't know the octane.

The stock fuel system can not be used with forced induction and E-85.

The stock fuel system can make 580 RWHP on Gasoline.
