Wanted: 2016-2018 2SS

Not seeing alot of these cars for sale in my area (Ottawa) maybe because some haven't gotten them out of winter storage yet or most likely Covid.

Looking to buy a 6th Gen here are the details.

- Model years 2016, 2017 or 2018
- Trim must be a 2SS
- Must have NPP, MRC and 8-speed auto
- Colors Blue, Grey, White or Silver

If anyone has or knows somebody selling their car that meets this criteria please PM me.
Thanks.

I found a car that almost met all my requirements, just missing MRC and NAV and I guess who cares about NAV. 2018 blue 2SS with 15,000kms. Not winter driven and bone stock. Car is 6 hours away from me so this would an online deal. Clean carfax report and only half way through the bumper to bumper factory warranty. Car is currently at a non GM dealership so I don't think it would be a certified pre owned. $700 to ship car to me on a hauler.

Anything I should worry about or any known issues with the 2018's ? I've seen close up pics the paint looks great I really like the hyper blue. Moving from a Gen5 M6 to Gen6 A8.

A8 has the potential to have the A8 Shudder, wrong fluids from factory in the trans, i had the triple flush done. otherwise its a solid car, engine is 7 years old now, go for it!

Ya I've read about the A8 transmission issues. Does it affect all A8's ? Obviously would prefer the A10 but the price point jumps for a 2019 and I can't do it right now.

The other car I'm looking at is a 2017 50th anniversary A8 but its about $3k more and slightly out of my price range although much closer to me.

You can always negotiate. You never know, maybe it will sell for the price you want it in.

If you want the MRC, make sure you get that. NAV can be added if you care that much about it.

same fluid was used in all the transmission from factory but it is something covered under warranty. they wont triple flush until you have the issue though!

nav is pointless, youll end up loving android auto, apply carplay and waze more.

Unfortunately the guy is really firm on his price for the more local car I want. I'm shocked at how much money people are asking for these 2-4 year old V8 Camaro's. A $55k-$60k car brand new shouldn't still be worth $45k after 3 yrs regardless the mileage.

I've never had MRC so I won't know what I'm missing other than how I read everybody say how great they are. All the streets/roads around me are well paved. My other concern is the expense to replace those shocks if any failed down the road and will it effect my resale value not having them.

Thanks Dale, do you know if its covered under the 3yr bumper to bumper or the 5yr powertrain ?

Agreed NAV isn't a big deal I just hate having to plug in my phone for carplay everytime. I guess 90% of the time driving I don't even need nav so who cares.

believe it was covered under the power-train 5 year. nav is nice but years from now that interface will be dated like everything before it, at least carplay is up to date!

Fantastic, congratulations on your purchase, an awesome choice
(No, not all A8's have the shudder, but even if yours does, the fix is well known and reliable. Mine is tuned and as near perfect as an A8 can be with its slow paddle response, but it had already been miles better than the 8L45 specimen in my previous V6.)
