Chemical Guys VO7 Liquid Wax

I recently tried Chemical Guys VO7 Liquid Wax on top of their Hydrocharge Ceramic Spray. If I had to describe it, it would be like P&S beadmaker in liquid wax form. Car stays in the garage most of the time, but it makes my Hyperblue shine with a deep-blue gloss. I also like the way it looks on the carbon fiber. I think for $14 it could be a decent option for some as a hybrid of synthetic polymers and carnauba wax topper.

I didn't like the chemical guys V-line polishes (V38 & V36), but their waxes/sealants seem to be alright. I also made a video using this product if anyone is interesting on seeing how it looks.

You are probably diminishing the HydroCharge by topping it with VO7. You are topping the ceramic with a product that is not as slick as HydroCharge. If you like the way it looks, that's all that matters.

I have used VO7 as a drying aid for my customers cars for years. It smells great and can be used in full sun. It is pretty much like Bead Maker.

I'm not quite sure of the durability, but will monitor the properties on the next few washes. The gloss increase is definitely noticeable though. Once I get my polishing dialed in I'll opt for a more permanent coating like Gtechniq. I didn't want to commit to a long lasting coating just yet.

Do you have any recommendations for compound/polish/pads? I noticed the gm clear is a bit harder than my other cars (Honda/Mitsubishi).

I like to use Meguiar's D300 and D302 with microfiber pads on 6th gen Camaros.

If I use foam pads I like Griot's Garage Boss Fast Correcting Cream and Meguiars M205.
