2014 Hood Heat extractor - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I recently installed an LSA in my car. I knew there was a hood heat extractor fit issue. I put some hard rubber washers between the hood and extractor and gave myself some added clearance. I used some rubber weather stripping to fill the gap. I am a little concerned that the hood gets pretty hot and wondering if this might melt. what do you all think

I think it's a cool solution, and from the pic looks pretty good. Can you post another a bit further out in good light? Looking for a solution too. Don't think the engine heat will be enough in that area to melt that either. If in doubt, buy a cheap laser thermometer. Did you get all the clearance you needed?

I will take a far back picture when I get home tonight.
It looks pretty good, you would not be able to tell if you were not looking for it or did not know it was adjusted..

Yes I did get more clearance So I am satisfied with it
