exhaust hanger keepers Flow Master Help please

Hello everyone.
I purchased an exhaust to put on my car from a guy who had them for about a week and did not like the sound.

I was looking through the bill of materials and saw that the Hanger keepers are missing.

the hangers are 7/16 straight and do not have the large end like our stock mufflers.

Anyway I decided to contact Flow Master to get an idea of what they are and if they could direct me to where and how to get them.

The guy I spoke with was not only rude but obnoxious as well.
He proceeded to act like he was Pi$$ed because I bought a used exhaust.

He advised me that these parts are only available to the original owner.
I tried to tell him that I did not expect them free or for them to give them to me. He refused to give me any info and basically told me I am SOL
What a Crappy way to treat people.

I just wanted to know what they were and where I might get them.

anyway does anyone have any ideas on what I can use for these

PM the Flowmaster rep on this forum. You'll have to search for his name though. I think it's like Matt at flowmaster.

If you're talking about a metal washer like retainer I don't think you need them. Mine never had any. I guess you could chase a thread on the rod and thread it for a nut!

Doesn't sound like any way to treat a potential customer . Maybe this Mike will straighten it out

You are fine without them. Once bolted up there is plenty of steel rod going through the rubber mount that it can't really back out. Sorry about the experience you had over the phone, no reason for that kind of talk.

Just take a drive to your local muffler shop. They have or can make you anything you'd need.

Yeah, worst case scenario if you have a tap/die kit, you could thread the ends of the hangers for some nuts and just use those as keepers.
