Bowtie Covers
Update: figured I would install and see how well it works.
Used my trunk bowtie: Printed up the cover: Applied 3M tape to the back: Finished Bowtie: If anyone wants the .stl file, please PM me. Couldn't decide if I wanted to paint over the front bowtie or not. So, playing around with CAD and designed a thin plastic cover to go over the gold part, that way if I decided to change it, I could easily do it. The back has a space for 3M tape, and a lip to fit into the groove around the gold bowtie. I 3D printed in black. This is a rendering of front and back. The crease in the center allows it to bend and conform to the shape of the bowtie. Just foolin' around.... Last edited by mrtoner; 01-06-2017 at 01:37 PM. |

Looks nice, mine are Plasti-dipped. Haven't had any issues as of yet but this definately looks much easier to apply
